This collection is inspired by the many magical places in Monterey Peninsula California, and features wise words from Paulo Coelho's book The Alchemist, “Life is really generous to those who pursue their Personal Legend." In The Alchemist, a boy named Santiago learns that everyone is put on earth to pursue their Personal Legend or Calling in Life. Coelho describes PERSONAL LEGEND as “God’s blessing” and the destiny that God chose for you here on Earth (school).

Materials used in the original artwork include: A surfer, postal marks, nautical chart, collaged painting of best known scenic landmarks and places in Monterey Peninsula, California, such as, the Scenic Drives on Highway 1 and Scenic Road, 17-Mile Drive, Pebble Beach, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Point Lobos, Big Sur, Lover's Point and more. Other materials in the original painting include: corrugated cardboard, recycled tissue paper, clippings from 65 Degrees magazine, and film strip with quotes and images of popular global icons (such as Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi).
