Sea Echoes Collector Series: v1.9 "A Heart Is More Beautiful When It Is Broken"
The ninth installment of Jocelyn's Sea Echoes Series depicts cypress trees on a scenic road overlooking Carmel River State Beach in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. A broken piece of a heart-shaped shell found on Scenic Road at the beach, a piece of a bark from the cypress tree, and wax tear drops all depict the art subject's own story.
From The Wisdom of Sundays by Oprah Winfrey, one of Jocelyn's favorite books on her bedside, the chapter about being "BROKEN OPEN" teaches Jocelyn, time after time, that:
"There is not one experience no matter how devastating, no matter how torturous it may appear to have been, there is nothing that's ever wasted. Everything that is happening to you is being drawn into your life as a means to help you evolve into who you were really meant to be here on Earth. It's not the thing that matters, it's what that thing opens (beautifully) within you."
